Write a letter to your dean

Write a letter to your dean

You wrote an English proficiency exam in 2016 and placed for ENG 101. This test can only be taken once, but it expires after a year, and an adviser told you that once it expires you will have to retake the test. During the process of registering for your spring classes, you were not able to register for ENG 101 class, so you figured the test had probably expired and you should retake it. After taking the placement test a second time, you placed for a lower class than ENG 101 because you got a lower score. You took the first test at the school’s placement testing center, so you were 100% concentrated. You wrote the second test at home, so you were a little distracted.

Write a letter to your dean, explaining these issues, and asking for another chance to retake the placement test. Explain that you think the second test did not show your skill in English, and you should have done better. Also include the fact that you took a psych class the previous semester, and one of the requirements for taking the class was an Eng 101 placement, which you had because it had not expired. You not only passed the psych class, you got an A+ (98.3%).

Please take your time to understand this and write concerning all the reasons you feel you should be given another chance to take the test. You can also include other reasons not included in the above text.
