The theme of this Senior Seminar course is beliefs and ideologies. You may choose any topic to write about, however you must include in your paper a section on how beliefs and ideologies have influenced your topic/area of research. It is advisable that your research topic be in an area that you are already familiar with such as your major or area/field of study (but need not be so). Your research should be fact based and follow scientific methodology (see readings on Blackboard). Any arguments that you make must be supported by facts and or published research. Your section on beliefs and ideologies will reflect the nonscientific or unproven opinion driven information that also exists in your chosen topic or area of research. Your paper will need to demonstrate your understanding of the difference between fact-based research that relies on scientific methodology and opinion based on beliefs and ideologies.
